Aastha Sharma
I specialize in characterizing samples using advanced imaging techniques, particularly the Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) across four machine types: Zeiss, JEOL, TESCAN, and Thermofisher Scientific. My expertise also extends to Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDX) by Oxford and EDAX, as well as Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy (STEM) by TESCAN. Additionally, I have foundational knowledge in TEM operations and data analysis.
I am skilled in preparing complex samples, including non-conductive, magnetic, beam-sensitive materials, powders, and outgassing samples. Over my career, I have processed more than 500 FESEM samples monthly, contributing to research in physics, chemistry, textile, polymer, material science, mechanical, and biological fields.
I have provided technical consultation to researchers from industries and institutes spanning steel manufacturing, dental implants, orthopedic implants, and art conservation. My experience includes training lab staff and students, as well as planning and organizing scientific workshops.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively, I thrive in diverse, multidisciplinary teams and am committed to excellence in scientific exploration and technical support.
