PhD in Economics

I am an Associate Professor for Economics at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS). Previously I was an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Public Economics at the University of Münster (2011-2019). I received my PhD from Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg in 2010.

My main research interest is in Public Economics. Currently I focus, in particular, on tax competition, digitalization of the public sector, pension economics, and the sharing economy.

At JIBS I am currently involved in two externally financed research projects: "Public Sector Digitalization: Innovations in Pension Data and Tax Reporting" (The Hamrin Foundation; 2024-2026) and
“Digitalization of Pension Claiming in Sweden” (Kamprad Family Foundation, 2022-2025).

Since 01/2025, I am the Director of PhD Candidates (position shared with Mart Ots). I am also active in the union and part of the JIBS SACO-S board.
