Course ContentsThe course includes the following elements;
- Explicit and implicit finite difference time stepping methods for ordinary differential equations
- Finite volume and finite element methods for partial differential equations
- Numerical integration in several dimensions. Methods for solving nonlinear equations.
PrerequisitesPassed courses at least 90 credits within the major subject Mechanical Engineering, 15 credits Mathematics included multivariable calculus and proof of English proficiency is required (or the equivalent).
