This course prepares educational leaders, teachers, and researchers to make informed decisions and take well-balanced actions regarding the digitalization of education. Digitalization of educational settings is a burning question worldwide. Despite global divides, schools in many countries have a relatively long history of using digital devices. The course will explore the role and functions of digital tools, and how these are implemented in every day teaching and learning. In addition to a comparison of national and regional regulations and goals, usage of digital resources at the local level will be explored. Digitalization and Implementation Processes in School 1 (DIP, 1) is an advanced level course focusing on theoretical issues on macro, meso and micro levels regarding digitalization of education.
