Final Project Work in Product Development 30 credits
Course Contents
The course gives students the opportunity to apply and deepen the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies by carrying out an independent project within their main field. With support from supervision, students demonstrate their ability to plan, carry out, and present a qualified development or research project. The work may be conducted in collaboration with companies, organizations, public authorities, or within an academic setting.
The course includes the following elements:
- Defining and formulating a project brief or problem statement
- Project planning
- Review of relevant literature and references
- Collection, processing, and analysis of information or data
- Project execution and development work
- Writing a final report
- Presenting and defending the work
- Serving as an opponent on another student’s project
Prerequisites
The student must have completed at least 75 credits of second-cycle courses, including a course in research methodology or equivalent. Additionally, the student must have completed 21 credits in mathematics at the first-cycle level. The Bachelor’s degree must also be issued.
