(Cancelled) Material Testing and Characterisation 6 credits
The course covers different material properties and material behavior. The link between structure and material properties is important for optimizing materials and processes. Typical Equipment for material testing as well as material characterization are studied. The principles behind the techniques are important knowledge to understand the possibilities and limitation of various techniques. Measured data are analysed and interpreted by the students. The course also covers material standards and material testing standards.
Prerequisites
The applicant must hold the minimum of a bachelor's degree (ie. the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits at an accredited university) with at least 90 credits in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Proof of English proficiency is required.
