Course Contents

This course provides students with a foundation in scientific research methods specifically tailored to the field of cybersecurity. It focuses on key principles and practices required to plan, conduct, and evaluate research within this domain. The course includes the following elements: - How to conduct a systematic literature review - How to conduct experiments - Design of a scientific report - Quantitative methods, descriptive statistics, sampling and survey design, and regression analysis - Qualitative methods, interviews, case studies, and thematic analysis

Prerequisites

Passed courses at least 90 credits within the major subject in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or the equivalent, and taken course Cybersecurity Overview, 7,5 credits or the equivalent. Proof of English proficiency is required.
