Swedish Language, Culture and Society I 7.5 credits
This course will give a basic knowledge of Swedish grammar, vocabulary and everyday phrases. Furthermore, it will give sufficient language skills and a general ”know-how” to understand and make yourself understood in situations occurring in daily life in Sweden. It will also give an overview over Swedish society and culture.
Course Contents
• Basic communicative skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
• Basic Swedish grammar
• Lectures (in English) on Swedish culture and society
Prerequisites
General requirements and English proficiency is required. Exemption is granted from the requirement in Swedish.
