Science of Remelting, Aluminum Alloys 2.5 credits

Are you involved in materials science, engineering, or manufacturing and want to contribute to more sustainable, high-quality aluminium production? Aluminium is a highly valuable material in automotive and aerospace industries due to its lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and recyclable properties. However, maintaining these benefits during remelting and recycling requires a precise understanding of the science behind alloy properties, impurities, and optimal remelting conditions. Through this course, you will learn how to improve remelting practices and optimize remelting conditions, impurity control, and understanding of alloy quality. You will also learn to reduce environmental impact and support the growing demand for recycled materials in a sustainable way.
