Overview
This programme develops your ability to apply economic models to real-world problems and to use various methods of data analysis to solve them. The programme offers a semester of practical applications of economics on issues that companies and organisations are facing, a 10-week internship, and courses in programming and machine learning.
After graduation, you will have the skills to work closely with decision makers, processing and analysing large quantities of data and communicating your analyses to managers. Future workplaces could be domestic or international companies, public organisations, aid organisations, and organisations like: the UN, the EU, and the OECD. Some possible roles are data analyst, analyst, strategist and business developer.
The basic semester includes microeconomics, macroeconomics, mathematics and econometrics. The next semester consists of current topics in economics, for example environmental economics or transport economics. During that semester, you have the opportunity to apply theories and practical tools to real situations at companies and organisations.

After graduation

After graduation, you will be eligible for the doctoral programme in economics at JIBS, as well as many other doctoral programmes in economics around the world.
