## About the programme Organisations worldwide must continually evolve to meet the demands of digitalisation, globalisation, and sustainability. They need leaders who can manage people and business processes, interpret data, and guide organisations through transformation. This programme equips you with those skills. Offered as one of JIBS’ Master’s in Management (MiM) programmes, ranked by the Financial Times, it combines broad training in managerial competencies with specialised expertise in leadership and organisational development. It is designed for ambitious students, whether recent graduates or early-career professionals, who aim for managerial and consulting roles in international companies and organisations. Grounded in the Nordic management approach, the programme develops your ability to lead responsibly, foster collaboration, and create long-term value. From the start, you will build essential skills in communication, digital literacy, ethical reasoning, and teamwork across cultures - while gaining an entrepreneurial, responsible, and multicultural perspective that prepares you for global leadership. ### Year one – Core management skills and leadership expertise In the first year, you will study a package of shared MiM courses (30 credits) to develop foundational managerial competencies in areas such as data analytics, team dynamics, accounting and finance, project design, and risk management. At the same time, you’ll deepen your knowledge of leadership and organisational development through specialisation courses (30 credits) covering: - Strategising under uncertainty. - Corporate entrepreneurship and strategic renewal. - Change leadership with a focus on power, influence, and collaboration. - Strategic and sustainable human resource management. - Designing systems for performance. - Organisational learning and knowledge management. This parallel structure ensures that you build a strong foundation in managerial competencies while developing in-depth expertise in your chosen field. You will engage with a diverse, multicultural team of students, teachers, and practitioners, collaborating across disciplines from day one. You will also gain professional competencies in data literacy, communication, ethical reasoning, and intercultural teamwork, while expanding your international network. ### Year two – customise your path In the second year, you’ll have the opportunity to tailor your degree. You can choose electives, study abroad for a semester at one of our many partner universities or gain experience through an internship. The final semester is dedicated to a master’s thesis, where you apply your knowledge to a focused topic within leadership and organisational development. At JIBS, theory and practice are closely intertwined. Through applied projects, cases, and collaboration with real organisations, you will strengthen your ability to design, implement, and lead change. At the same time, you will develop advanced analytical, research, and communication skills that prepare you for complex environments where digitalisation and globalisation are reshaping how organisations operate and how decisions are made. ### Your future career You will graduate with a strong combination of strategic insight and people-centred leadership — skills that make you highly attractive to employers worldwide. You can pursue careers in consulting or management, taking on roles such as general manager, project manager, change manager, business developer, people & culture manager, or strategic HR manager, especially in organisations that have an international outlook. The programme also provides an excellent foundation for those who wish to continue with doctoral studies.
