## About the programme As an occupational therapist, you support individuals' health, participation, and well-being throughout their lifespan. At the same time, society faces increasing demands for sustainable healthcare, rehabilitation, and working life. This programme equips you with the tools to critically analyse, develop, and lead occupational therapy practise in diverse contexts. You will interact with students from other disciplines and from different parts of the world, strengthening your multicultural and interprofessional communication and collaboration skills. You will also explore how socio-cultural factors influence health and participation, while enhancing your skills in research, evidence-based practice, and leadership. You will study co-production in health and welfare and team collaboration in changing organisations - both essential for the future of occupational therapy. ### What you will study The first half of the programme combines research methodology with in-depth studies in occupational therapy, including theory, community-based practice, and evidence-based approaches. You will also study the occupational perspective of health. This part concludes with a 15-credit independent degree project in occupational therapy. During the second half of the programme, you will deepen your expertise through courses in advanced theory and practice, co-production, team collaboration, and research design. The programme concludes with a second 15-credit independent degree project in occupational therapy, bringing the total to 30 credits. In these independent degree projects, you will investigate topics of your choice and demonstrate your ability to plan, conduct, and present research. You can either build on your work across both projects or choose two different topics, depending on your interests. ### Structure of the programme The programme comprises 120 credits and is delivered entirely online. This format provides the flexibility to combine studies with professional work, offering a balance of independent study and collaborative learning with peers worldwide. Teaching is conducted in English and includes a variety of methods such as lectures, seminars, workshops, group projects, and digital discussions. Assessment is based on written reports, projects, and oral presentations. You can choose between: - **Full-time (100%)** – completed in 2 years - **Part-time (50%)** – completed in 4 years ### After graduation A master’s degree in occupational therapy (120 credits) gives you advanced competence and a strong academic profile, opening doors to specialist clinical roles, leadership positions, quality development, and project management. You will also be well prepared for doctoral studies in occupational therapy, rehabilitation, or related fields. With your advanced skills in research, critical analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration, you will be equipped to drive sustainable development in health and welfare - both locally and globally. If you want the freedom of online studies combined with interactive, global learning - while preparing for leadership and research in occupational therapy - this master’s programme is the right choice for you.
