About the programme:
Communicating sustainability is more critical than ever in a world facing climate change, inequality, and global conflicts. This programme prepares you to become a highly sought-after communication analyst who can genuinely impact different types of organisations.
The programme offers comprehensive insight into connections between media, communication, and sustainability's environmental, social, and economic dimensions. You will develop practical skills for analysing global challenges, structuring information clearly, and delivering persuasive, educational messages.
Your education is closely connected to JU’s research environment, which publishes reports and dissertations on environmental communication, global journalism, transmedia storytelling, and communication for development.
The programme is offered as a 1-year (60 credits) or 2-year (120 credits) option. In the first year, all students follow a shared curriculum. In the second year, you can specialise further and take advantage of opportunities to study abroad. With courses conducted entirely in English, the programme has a strong international focus.
Your Future Career
After graduation, you will be ready for an international career as a communication specialist, CSR manager, or communications officer with expertise in sustainability and the UN’s global goals.
Completing the 2-year programme also qualifies you to apply for doctoral studies at Jönköping University or other universities worldwide.
