Organisation
The School of Education and Communication (HLK) is a non-profit limited company owned by the Jönköping University Foundation.
Jönköping University is organized as a non-profit corporate group, with the Jönköping University Foundation as the parent organization and a total of six wholly owned subsidiaries. In addition to the School of Education and Communication, these include the School of Health and Welfare, Jönköping International Business School, the School of Engineering, University Services, and Jönköping University Enterprise.
The School of Education and Communication is led by a managing director, who also serves as the dean.

Departments
Research and teaching staff at the School of Education and Communication belong to one of four departments. In addition, there is also an administrative department.

The university has several programme councils whose main tasks are to enhance the quality of education and support its development, lead the work with course and programme evaluations, and maintain contact with alumni.
