Anette Lundin

Anette got accepted as a doctoral student in July 2011. Before becoming a doctoral student she worked as a university teacher in social psychology at the University of Skövde. Anette has got two masters, one in social psychology and one in sociology. The master thesis in social psychology focused on the interplay between young adults with the diagnosis ADHD and their social environment. The thesis considered the young adult´s perspective as well as the professional´s perspective. In sociology, the master thesis focused on experiences of identity and relationships from the perspective of youths with hearing impairments. Commonality for both of the thesis´s is the symbolic interaktionistic theory base with its emphasis on the Self, relationships, meaning making and society.

Even today Anette uses symbolic interaktionism as a point of departure. This time the focus of her studies is on personnel´s experiences of elder´s possibilities for wellbeing when living in municipal elderly care, and whether or not visits from dogs contributes to these possibilities.
