Ingela Bergmo Prvulovic’s research interest focuses on the meaning of career and how it is influenced and affected by various changes in working life. Bergmo-Prvulovic is interested in how current transformations in working life affect adults in the workplace and what implications these transformations may have for career guidance practice regarding career related issues for adults.

In her studies, Bergmo-Prvulovic is using multiple levels of analysis, such as the structural level, the individual level and the intermediate level, where the guidance practice is located. Bergmo-Prvulovic’s thesis is divided into four separate studies, with four specific purposes. She uses the theory of social representation as a general theoretical framework.

Biography

At present Bergmo-Prvulovic teaches Communication, Dialog and Conflict at the Human Resource Management Program. She is also interested in the field of adult education and different workplace related educational issues. Since 2008 she is working at Encell.

Bergmo-Prvulovic has a Bachelor of Education degree in Career Counselling and has, among other things, worked with information and support for adults in work-related change processes. Further, she has been engaged in the development of validation processes in adult education and as a project manager in different Sfi-projects (Swedish for immigrants). She has also been engaged as an expert in the OBSERVAL-project. Bergmo-Prvulovic is a member of the International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance and the Swedish research network KAV.
