Annie Sjöö is a doctoral student and part of the national research school "Culturally Empowering Education through Language and Literature". She has previously worked as a teacher in Swedish and English in upper secondary school and both during her education and when working as a teacher she has been interested in reading and reading education in various ways. Therefore, the general and primary research interest concerns reading and reading education in this digital world we are living in right now and the more specific interest is audiobooks. Among other things, she is curious to investigate how the debate about audiobooks is conducted in Swedish press and what impacts/consequences the increased popularity and use of audiobooks may have on reading and reading education in upper secondary school.
