Waqas Ahmed

Industrial Doctoral Student

I have a master's degree in electrical engineering with a specialization in green renewable system and artificial intelligence. Additionally, I possess competencies in accelerated aging tests and fault tracking through machine learning and deep learning, using both invasive and non-invasive approaches.

Currently, I am developing new strategies to estimate the remaining useful life of outdoor power products that have reached the end of their lifecycle through direct and indirect wear analysis. My project, titled iCircular3, focuses on the circular economy, digital twin, and digital ledger technology for outdoor power products. It is funded by the European Commission under their competitive HORIZON-MSCA-2021-DN-01 (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks) program.
