Davor Mujezinovic

Davor Mujezinovic is an associate professor in Global Studies and a member of the research environment Sustainable Societies (SUS). His academic interest is the connection between economy, sustainability and society - mainly ecological economics and the application of political ecology to sustainability issues.
He has previously been involved in the research project Changing places of work, funded by FORMAS and FORTE, which involved collaboration between researchers from Karlstad University, Lund University and Sheffield Hallam University. The project explored the social impacts of the green transition of the Swedish steel and mining industries. He has also conducted research at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Mid Sweden University. The research was about the social impact of the Covid crisis and how it had been handled.
Davor has previously been a university lecturer at the Department of Social Sciences, Technology and Arts at Luleå University of Technology, where he taught, among other things, sociology, philosophy of science and work science. He has also taught statistics at Mid Sweden University.
Davor received his PhD in sociology from Lancaster University in 2020, on the topic of unsustainable recycling of electronic waste in developing countries. He holds a Master's degree in Political Economy (2013) from the University of Manchester, and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial and Financial Management (2012) from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg.
