Local podcast attracted big crowd during live broadcast
On 7 November, it was time for the popular local Jönköping podcast “Unnergången” to run its first live broadcast in an organized format. The broadcast broke audience records and attracted around 150 visitors to listen to old anecdotes and stories about the JMW area.“If there's one thing that's amazing in Jönköping, it's JU”, said Staffan Hagberg, musician and one of the producers of the podcast.

About 1,500 students met 135 companies and other employers at the career fair Karriärum at the School of Engineering (JTH), Jönköping University (JU) on 6 November."Karriärum is perfect for us because we are looking for the skills that many JTH students have," says Oskar Krantz, Service Owner at Husqvarna Group.

Popular conference brings research and practitioners together
The conference Research-based teaching - theory and practice in collaboration, was held on 5 November at the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU) for the eighth consecutive year. The conference is organized by HLK and Jönköping Municipality, and this year it focused on how AI can change the conditions for schools and the education system.

Lithuanian Ambassador talks on the war in Ukraine
Welcome to a lecture on the war in Ukraine by Linas Linkevičius, Lithuanian Ambassador to Sweden. He will talk about security issues and the consequences of the war for the Nordic and Baltic countries. The lecture will be held on Tuesday 12 November in the JMW Hall in the University Library at Jönköping University (JU) and coffee will be served.

Orange Week at Jönköping University
On 18-24 November, Orange Week takes place in Jönköping County. During week 47, several different activities are carried out with the aim of spreading knowledge about domestic violence and men's violence against women. Jönköping University (JU) contributes by inviting the public to the University Library, where researchers from the network “Tema våld” at the School of Health and Welfare will discuss the topic.

Light and our well-being - the importance of light in focus at JU LIVE
Johan Röklander, laboratory technologist and lighting designer at the School of Engineering, Jönköping University, gave an inspiring and well-attended lecture at JU LIVE on October 31. He shared his expertise on the importance of light for humans and the environment. "The best way to judge whether a light is good or bad in everyday life is your own eyes," Röklander emphasized, and said that the light experience is partly subjective but crucial for our well-being.
