Research
My research interests span over several topics within the broader OSCM field, which primarily relate to dynamic capabilities, digitization, and sustainability in different industries. I have a passion for the developments in the retailing industry, especially, omni-channel and e-commerce.
In my research, I have applied various methods including qualitative case studies, however, I am mostly interested in large-scale studies and statistical analyses of survey data. I have been involved in several research projects including:
- M2C (Manufacturing to Consumer) e-Commerce co-financed by European Regional Development Fund, The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket), Science Park Jönköping, and Region Jönköping County
- “AFAIR” (Ambidexterity, Flows and AI for Competitive Responsiveness) Research Profile co-financed by KK-Foundation
- "e-merge" co-financed by European Regional Development Fund, and The Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth (Tillväxtverket) (and several other partners)
- “e-Commerce Logistics - Pre-Study” financed by Jönköping Municipality
- “Mediatized Shopping: How Smartphones Change Consumers’ Shopping Habits” financed by The Swedish Retail and Wholesale Development Council (Handelsrådet) and ICA.
- “Showrooming / Free-Riding in Retail” financed by Hakon Swenson Stiftelsen
- “Increased Flexibility in Retail Supply Chains through Postponement” financed by Handelsrådet
- “KOPtimera” (survey on Swedish manufactures regarding lead-times, customization, and performance) financed by KK-Foundation
Teaching
Upon joining JTH, I acted as the Program Manager to develop the first international bachelor’s program at the School of Engineering; namely, Industrial Engineering and Management – Sustainable Supply Chain Management.
Since 2009, I have been involved in developing courses and teaching, and supervising theses at undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses on:
- Retailing
- Sustainability and Social Responsibility in Supply Chains
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Marketing Management and Industrial Marketing
My courses have constantly received high evaluations from the students, for which I was awarded the pedagogical prize for the Lecturer of the Year in 2011 at JIBS and at the School of Engineering in 2017/2018.
