Gunilla Ljusegren has worked in the field of children and pain since 1978. The last 4 years she has been doing research on the subject and the 27 th of May she successfully defended her licentiate thesis
Nurses' Competence in Pain Management in Children. All present at the public defense received inspiration and new knowledge within the area. A lesson to be learned for the health care system and nurses is that children's pain should be considered seriously and not be taken lightly.
