July 27-31, 2020

Regarding summer 2020

The application period has been extended until 4 May.

Due to the current circumstances, the Professional Development Courses might not be conducted at Campus Gränna, Sweden, and could instead be held completely online, on our online learning platforms. If this is the case then the lodging fee will be refunded.

Effective English-medium instruction (EMI) requires more than simply good teaching and language skills. Instructors must be aware of how cultural differences and language proficiency affect pedagogy, learning, communication, and knowledge-construction, and be able to use a variety of techniques and strategies for effective EMI teaching and assessment. This professional development course helps participants develop practical skills for using English as the medium of instruction.

To ensure that the course is of the greatest possible practical use to the participants, every seminar is followed by a workshop where participants apply what they have learned to a realistic teaching situation. In addition to the seminars and lectures, participants will take part in informal fika sessions with Swedish and international colleagues.
