## About the programme
International management is about understanding how businesses operate across borders and cultures. In today’s interconnected world, organisations need leaders who can manage people, markets, and strategies on a global scale. This programme gives you the knowledge and practical skills to navigate international business environments and prepares you for a truly global career.
In the first year, you will build a broad foundation in business, economics, and statistics, studying core subjects such as organisation, finance, marketing, accounting, micro- and macroeconomics, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. This base helps you see management as an integral part of the overall business strategy.
From your second year, you will specialise in international management through courses covering topics such as entrepreneurship and innovation, leadership, change, strategy, international marketing, and supply chain management. Future-oriented themes such as digitalisation, AI, and responsible leadership run throughout the programme, preparing you to lead effectively in a complex and evolving world.
### A focus on responsibility and global perspectives
The programme prepares you to lead with integrity, think critically, and collaborate across cultures in a rapidly changing global environment. You will strengthen your entrepreneurial mindset and develop the ability to work effectively in diverse international teams. Grounded in a Nordic approach, it emphasises sustainability, equality, innovation, and long-term value creation-values that will guide you in global contexts and international careers.
### Learning for the future
At JIBS, theory and practice are closely intertwined. You will work with cases, projects, and real companies while developing critical thinking, research, and communication skills. The programme concludes with a thesis project, where you apply and integrate what you have learned - preparing you not only for your first job but also for a lifelong career in international business and management.
### International opportunities
You will study on a dynamic, international campus and can customise your degree through:
- A semester abroad at one of our many partner universities worldwide
- Elective courses to strengthen your profile
- Internships in Sweden or internationally
These opportunities broaden your perspective, expand your global network, and strengthen your CV.
### Your future career
After graduation, you can pursue a wide range of careers in international business and management, consulting, strategic management, marketing, project management, or supply chain management. You may also choose to continue with a master’s degree in a specialised field. Whatever your path, this programme equips you to meet global challenges, drive innovation, and lead with confidence and responsibility.
