Overview
This programme combines graphic design, programming and web design, with training in both digital marketing and project management. Get skills to design and encode interactive web applications for different devices and platforms with a clear focus on the user experience. Develop your theoretical and practical knowledge for designing graphic material for both printed and digital media.
This degree gives you a good base for various roles such as graphic designer, front-end web developer, UX designer and web strategist. Future workplaces could range from techno- logically advanced production companies to more traditional advertising agencies.
You’ll learn to develop user-friendly and communicative experiences and services to create value for enterprises, society and individual users. You will also gain a good foundation in marketing, entrepreneurship, leadership and communication with a focus on internationalisation and a global working environment.

Internship
You will make direct contact with a company within the industry through an Industrial Placement Course (IPC). The IPC involves nine weeks of work experience at a company. Those who wish to do so can carry out this work experience abroad. The programme will also include industry involvement through activities such as guest lectures and job market days.
Study abroad
The teaching is carried out in English, and you will study alongside students from all over the world. You will also have the opportunity to study for a semester at one of our partner universities. This will give you international contacts, experience and qualifications that will be valued highly by future employers.
After graduation
With a degree in New Media Design from Jönköping University you develop a good base for various roles such as graphic designer, front-end web developer, interaction designer and web strategist.
Future workplaces could range from technologically advanced production companies to more traditional advertising agencies.
The programme also makes you eligible for further studies in the Master Programme User Experience Design and IT Architecture at Jönköping University.
