The library participates in several national agreements that make it possible to publish open access articles for free or with a discount.

Open access journals commonly require authors to pay a fee, known as an Article Processing Charge (APC), in order to make articles freely available. After that, the article is open for reading without any requirement for a journal subscription.

The library is currently part of several national agreements where all or part of the publication fee can be covered.

Who can use the agreements?

To be able to take part of the offer, you must be:

  • A corresponding author (the main responsible author who submits the manuscript and is in contact with the publisher).
  • Affiliated with Jönköping University and state the affiliation in the article's author information.

How does it work?

See each publisher below for detailed instructions. If you have any questions regarding the agreements or whether or not a journal is included in our agreements, contact stefan.carlstein@ju.se

Which license should be used?

When the article is in the process of being accepted, the author is asked to sign an open access agreement and state which Creative Commons license the article should have. This license specifies how the reader may use the article.
