Artificial Intelligence in Education – Workshop 1

Let’s start with the basics for developing AI literacy. In today's educational environment, AI tools are a much-discussed topic. This workshop wants to give you inspiration on how you could work with learning activities and examination in an environment where both students and teachers can be assumed to have access to AI tools such as ChatGPT. This workshop helps you with an approach to the use of AI, understanding frameworks and getting a grasp of which tools are the most common in your own context.

Artificial Intelligence in Education – Workshop 2

Building on the foundations of Artificial Intelligence in Education – Workshop 1 and AI literacy, this workshop focuses on prompt engineering, the skill of crafting effective inputs to optimize AI-generated responses. Understanding how AI interprets and processes language is essential for maximizing its potential in education. This session will introduce key principles of prompt design, exploring different types of prompts, their structure, and their impact on AI outputs. Through hands-on activities, participants will experiment with refining prompts for various educational purposes, such as lesson planning, assessment design, and research support. The workshop will also address ethical considerations, including bias awareness, sustainable and responsible AI use in academic settings. By developing a structured approach to interacting with AI, educators can enhance their teaching practices while fostering critical engagement among students.

Artificial Intelligence in Education – Workshop 3

As AI tools become more integrated into education, teachers and institutions can take greater control by customizing AI models to fit their specific needs. This workshop explores how to create your own GPT: s and how to run local AI tools such as GPT4All. Participants will learn the basics of setting up and fine-tuning different AI models, enabling them to tailor AI models for specific tasks, specific subjects, course materials, and even institutional documents. The session will cover the advantages of running AI locally, including data privacy, cost efficiency, and customization, as well as practical guidance on installing and using specific AI models. Through hands-on exercises, participants will explore different tools, compare local models to cloud-based alternatives, and experiment with fine-tuning AI for educational purposes. By the end of this workshop teachers will gain the knowledge to deploy AI responsibly and effectively while maintaining greater control over its applications.

Spring 2025 occasions
