Exploring opportunities at the JIBS Master Programme Fair 2024
On 30 October 2024, JIBS held its annual Master Programme Fair. The event highlighted the school's commitment to supporting students in making informed choices about their educational future and the benefits of pursuing a master’s degree at JIBS.
With the lobby bustling with activity on Wednesday afternoon, the fair created a dynamic space for mingling and learning about the eight master's programs offered at the school. This year’s event focused on allowing visitors to interact with programme representatives and current master students to get answers to all their questions.
Students and visitors eagerly took advantage of the opportunity to learn more about the programmes, the unique aspects of JIBS’ master's offerings, and the career opportunities that could follow. The fair provided valuable insights into what makes JIBS' advanced studies stand out, particularly its international perspective and strong links to the business world.
Discovering career paths and global opportunities
Rosa Zevallos Vargas is pursuing her bachelor's degree in Sustainable Enterprise Development at JIBS. She wants to learn more about the master programmes to find the best fit for realizing her dream of an international career.
"I would love to work with different cultures and in diverse contexts worldwide. That's why I am interested in the master's program in Global Management at JIBS," says Rosa.
Arman Khayamim is studying for a master's in International Financial Analysis at JIBS and helped represent the programme at the fair. He had gained practical experience in the financial market before starting his master’s, but felt he needed stronger theoretical and analytical skills for a successful career in finance.
"I particularly appreciate the mix of theory and practice that you get at JIBS. I also like that the program is quite short but still covers many essential aspects of knowledge that students need to achieve their goals," says Arman.
Finn Scheel, a third-year student in the bachelor’s program in International Management, valued the representation of all master’s programs at the event, which made it easy for visitors to connect and envision their future studies. Finn shared:
“I did some research and found International Financial Analysis interesting, but I'm not sure if I will stay in Sweden yet. I like that the programem allows you to delve deeper into a specific career area that interests me,” he says.
A successful concept
It was an inspiring and informative day with many visitors. Anna Blombäck, Associate Dean of Education at JIBS, was very pleased with the outcome.
“It’s wonderful to see so many bachelor students stop by the JIBS Master Programme Fair. We organize this event to ensure our students recognize that internationally top-ranked master’s programs are available right here at JIBS! A master’s degree allows you to specialize and deepen your knowledge in a field you are passionate about, which can open up more advanced career opportunities. The master’s programs at JIBS are taught with a high level of collaboration with the business community, helping you build a professional network while studying,” Anna Blombäck says.
