When you intend to stay for a longer period of time in a foreign country, it is always good if you can get some help with the language of that country and an introduction into its culture and society.

We will offer a limited number of places in the following courses (the courses are only available to JU exchange and programme students):

Swedish Language, Culture and Society 1

Spring semester: Application open 10 December – 10 January

The course offers students basic communicative skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Swedish. After the course students should be able to understand and make themselves understood in situations occurring in daily life in Sweden. Included in the course is also basic knowledge of Swedish society and culture. The study pace is 50%, which translates into approximately six hours of lessons and lectures per week.

The course offers students intermediate communicative skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Swedish. Prerequisites: Participation in the course Swedish Language, Culture and Society 1 or equivalent. The study pace is 50%, which translates into approximately four hours lessons per week.
