Collaborating with researchers
Why collaborate with researchers?
By conducting health and welfare research at the School of Health and Welfare in close collaboration with the surrounding community, we can jointly develop new knowledge and share expertise. Therefore, there are great opportunities for you and your organization to collaborate with us and our researchers in various projects.
Meeting to collaborate can bring many benefits to both parties. Our research expertise and the results we produce can be of great value to your organization, while the researchers gain access to real-world problems and ideas to work with, as well as insights into important areas for development. In this way, the collaboration creates mutual benefit.
In what ways can the collaboration take place?
Collaboration in research can take place at all stages of the research process: from problem formulation to data collection and analysis. Together, we develop the research question and method that are most relevant to the area of concern. Collaboration can also involve exchanges of experience, specific problem-solving, or the expansion and connection of questions related to existing research projects.
Research collaborations can, for example, include commissioned research, accompanying research, joint doctoral student funding, and connections to other forms of competence development.

ForskarFredag External link, opens in new window. - Meet a Researcher. The fourth Friday in September has been designated as Researchers’ Night by the European Commission. Across Europe, hundreds of activities are organized to showcase how exciting and fun research can be. In Sweden, the day is called ForskarFredag (“Researchers’ Friday”). ForskarFredag creates opportunities for researchers and the public to meet, highlights the importance of research in our everyday lives and in society, and shows young people that research is a possible career path.
