Politik för entreprenörskap

Embla-gruppen har länge intresserat sig för politik för kvinnors företagande, tillsammans eller i samarbete med internationella forskare. Vi studerar vilka antaganden om kön och företagande som politiken bygger på, och vilken praktik och vilka resultat som följer. I flera kontexter finner vi att nyliberal (ibland kallad postfeministisk) politik som vill öka kvinnors företagande gör detta på ett sätt som reproducerar kvinnors underordning. Mer företagande är inte nödvändigtvis bättre. Genom jämförande studier har vi också problematiserat, och kontextualiserat internationell (läs anglosaxisk) forskning och funnit att dess teser om kvinnors företagande i hög grad beror på vilket välfärdssystem de har. Andra resultat fås i Skandinavien där välfärden, och särskilt familjepolitiken är bättre utbyggd.
