Language development with dialogic reading aloud

How can language be developed in the youngest students at school? In a new episode of the Teachers & Research podcast, we discuss dialogic reading aloud - a method where the teacher actively talks to the pupils during reading to stimulate language, understanding and thinking. The conversation is based on research projects related to ULF and teaching in preschool class.

Research projects to increase school attendance

What causes increasing school absenteeism and how can schools work more effectively to prevent it? This is the focus of a new research project led by Maria Bäcke at the School of Education and Communication in Jönköping. The project, which is being carried out within the framework of ULF, has attracted attention in several media. Through interviews and collaboration with schools, the project will contribute to new insights and concrete strategies to promote school attendance.
