Deborah Finkel

Professor Psykologi

Forskning. Dr. Finkel forskningsintressen innefattar att tillämpa metoder för beteende genetisk analys för undersökningar av kognitiv åldrande och biologiska markörer i åldrandet, tillämpa metoder för longitudinell analys till tvillingdata för att undersöka genetiska och miljömässiga påverkningar vid longitudinell förändring. Vid Institutet för Gerontologi vid JU fokuserar hon på analyser av fysisk funktion och invaliditetsprocessen samt utredningar med hjälp av uppgifter om funktion och demens från de nationella kvalitetsregistren.

Biografi: Dr. Finkel fick sin Ph.D. i psykologi från University of Minnesota och var professor i psykologi vid Indiana University Southeast i 30 år. För närvarande är hon knuten till Center for Economic and Social Research vid University of Southern California. Hon arbetar med tvillingstudier av åldrande baserade i Sverige, Danmark, Finland, Australien och USA.
