Managing in a Global Context is a programme especially designed to equip you with the skills and tools required to become an effective leader in diverse business contexts and varied intercultural settings.
The programme acknowledges that contemporary markets are increasingly complex and dynamic in terms of culture and demand, that information and communication are crucial for success, and that social responsibility for sustainability and corporate entrepreneurship are very important.
You develop skills that are needed by business leaders but also in various other organisational roles, for example when leading projects and Strategic renewal. Courses focus on leadership, corporate social responsibility, family business management and corporate entrepreneurship.
All courses are given in English. The programme is open to students from around the world, and courses have a diverse international participation of students. This international atmosphere contributes to a broad perspective of the issues discussed in class.
Through group and project-oriented work you develop your planning and collaboration skills, and experience intercultural relations.
The faculty involved in this programme have substantial experience in management research. This ensures that all research you encounter throughout your studies is innovative and up to date.
Students have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad at one of our many partner universities. The alternative to international exchange is to study elective courses at JIBS. Both alternatives allow you to create your own individualized profile.
Part of the elective semester can be devoted to an internship.

There are a wide range of careers you may pursue after graduation, such as: project leader, change manager, international business developer, or head of operations.
The programme also prepares students for doctoral research education.
