Upon completion of the course students should have the ability to:

• describe the key concepts and contexts of participation
• understand the impact of childhood disability on participation for children and their families
• understand the personal and environmental factors, including social and socio-political influences on participation
• understand the theoretical principles and empirical evidence for intervention efficacy to improve participation outcomes.

• discuss the family of participation related constructs
• identify and use measures of participation for applications within clinical practice
• design interventions that address participation as a product or a process.

• discuss ethical principles in relation to investigations and interventions for participation
• reflect on the different processes of participatory interventions within professional practice and implications for outcomes.

The course is conducted through seminars and workshops.

Undervisningen bedrivs på engelska.

General eligibility and completed course Occupational Therapy in Occupation and Research, 30 credits and 30 credits from the courses Activity and Development throughout Life, 30 credits and Occupational Therapy and Disability and disease Activity Problems, 30 credits eller motsvarande kunskaper.

Kursen bedöms med betygen Underkänd eller Godkänd.
