Jeevan Joseph

Doctoral Student

Jeevan Joseph is a doctoral student whose research focuses on material behavior, sustainability aspects, and practical challenges in plastic recycling. His work examines the formation of volatile organic compounds, odors, and degradation in recycled plastics and develops strategies to mitigate these issues.

Jeevan's path into the polymer world began even before his master’s studies at the University of Borås, Sweden, where he pursued a master's degree in Resource Recovery with a specialization in polymeric materials. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Polymer Engineering and has two years of experience as a process engineer, giving him hands-on insight into polymer processing and industrial production. This combination of practical and academic experience forms a strong foundation for his current research, which contributes to advancing high-quality recycled plastics and supporting a more circular and sustainable plastics industry.
