Forskning. Dr. Finkel forskningsintressen innefattar att tillämpa metoder för beteende genetisk analys för undersökningar av kognitiv åldrande och biologiska markörer i åldrandet, tillämpa metoder för longitudinell analys till tvillingdata för att undersöka genetiska och miljömässiga påverkningar vid longitudinell förändring. Vid Institutet för Gerontologi vid JU fokuserar hon på analyser av fysisk funktion och invaliditetsprocessen samt undersökningar med hjälp av livskvalitetsdata från de nationella kvalitetsregistren.

Biografi: Dr. Finkel fick sin Ph.D. i psykologi från University of Minnesota och är för närvarande professor i psykologi vid Indiana University South East, samt gästprofessor vid School of Health and Welfare på JU. Hon arbetar med tvillingstudier av åldrande baserade i Sverige, Danmark, Finland, Australien och USA.
