Research

Anna Johnsen has a PhD in Health and Caring Science and is an assistant professor at the Department of Nursing Science.

Anna’s thesis focused on the work environment and health of ambulance personnel, with the overall aim to describe and analyse work- and leisure-related factors and their association with health among ambulance staff. The thesis comprised four studies with quantitative designs, with data collection including health examinations, blood samples, tests of physical capacity, hair samples, objective measurement of physical activity, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring.

Biography

Anna is a registered nurse and a critical care nurse. She has worked as a nurse from 1997, mainly in intensive care. Anna was employed as a lecturer at the School of health and welfare in 2012. Beside her BSc in nursing, she has a MSc in public health.
