The course provides students with perspectives and concepts of multi-stakeholder diplomacy and engagement. It offers an opportunity to identify multiple relevant stakeholders and understand how they relate to a single organization, its decision making, and its transition toward sustainable development. The course introduces perspectives to working with groups and aligning the interests of diverse stakeholders to understand the complexity related to enterprises, including for-profit and non-profit organisations. The course draws from literature at the crossroads of management, earth system science, and political science.Connection to research and practice
The course is based on research on various topics and aspects of multi-stakeholder diplomacy and engagement for organizational and community transformation. The literature on the course includes books and journal articles. The students examine each topic and learn about the various issues and implications of mapping and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, understanding their complexity, and the diplomatic aspects related to collaboration to the creation of common regenerative purposes. The students engage in group assignments which include seminars or collaboration with groups of stakeholders through problem-based learning for the development of students’ understanding of collaborative leadership, collaborating and negotiating skills and transformation of communities.
Förkunskapskrav
General entry requirements and passed courses of 60 credits in Business Administration and/or Economics, with at least 30 credits in Business Administration, including taken the courses Leading Innovation in Safe and Just Societies, 7,5 credits and Leading Change through Sustainable Projects, 7,5 credits, (or the equivalent).Utbildningsnivå: Grundnivå
