Critical Making and participatory processes

Jens' research focuses on digital media, the police, safety, trust, participatory processes, and Critical Making. The concept of Critical Making is (in short) about the gap between technology and society, and communication and interaction are key factors in the work processes.
Jens' dissertation project is about how participatory processes can be used to explore and strengthen the police's external safety communication through digital media. The project involves employees of the police authority, police students, and the public. With the intention of increasing knowledge and understanding of the Swedish police's digital communication, with a focus on safety. Agenda 2030 is also included as an umbrella in the research project.
The dissertation supervisor is Associate Professor Renira Rampazzo Gambarato (main supervisor) and Associate Professor Cecilia Cassinger (co-supervisor).
