In 2005 Felicia Gabrielsson Järhult initiated a qualitative research project in collaboration with the Municipality of Jönköping and Jönköping County Council. The overall aim of this project is to acquire knowledge about how elderly patients and their next-of-kin experience Discharge Care Planning (DCP). Studies are also being carried out concerning what possibilities the elderly consider that they have of being participators in DCP and the formal care that this process initiates, and concerning at the same time what benefit the elderly expect to derive from such participation. Furthermore, a process-oriented evaluation is being performed which includes evaluation of an IT system implemented in Jönköping, Motala and Norrköping. Since 2004 she has been co-operating with researchers at Linköping University. In addition to conducting research she teaches evaluation, innovation knowledge and team-building, also topics having to do with collaboration.
