Mattias Jacobsson (PhD) is an Associate Professor of Management and Organization working part time as a Research fellow at the School of Engineering, Jönköping University, Sweden. His main research focus are projects, practice, and digitalization of the construction industry. On four occasions, he was a prize winner at the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence. Jacobsson is also a Pedagogical prize winner and has recently been appointed as Distinguished teacher.

His work has been published in a large number of journals, including Engineering, Construction and Architectural Management, Business Horizons, Management Decision, Project Management Journal®, Services Marketing Quarterly, International Journal of Project Management, Creativity and Innovation Management, the International Journal of Managing Projects in Business, and Construction Management and Economics.
