Wlazlak’s research focuses on integrating product and production system domains through, among others,  modelling and boundary objects; as well as production system changeability. The research is further concerned with industrialisation and production start-up in distributed geographical and organisational contexts. The research aims at advancing understanding of a successful integration of two critical functions within new product development projects, namely production and product development when these functions are separated geographically and organizationally. Wlazlak has been involved in four research projects and participated in writing project application.

Wlazlak is working at the department for Industrial Product development, Production and Design, School of Engineering at Jönköping University. She holds a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Science in Production systems from Jönköping University. The degree was acquired during 2019.  In 2016 Wlazlak earned her Licentiate of Science in the subject area Production Systems with specialisation in integrated product and production development. In 2010 Wlazlak became Master of Science (MSc) in production systems from department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the School of Engineering, Jönköping University.
