Lärandemål

Upon completion of the course students should have the ability to:

Kunskap och förståelse

  • describe the origins and contemporary conceptualisations of co-production in health and welfare
  • identify co-production and related concepts as enacted at the micro-, meso- as well as macro-system levels
  • understand the mechanisms underlying successful co-production processes
  • understand the contributions and lived experience of patients and/or citizens in co-producing health.

Färdighet och förmåga

  • examine theoretical, ethical and practical applications of co-production
  • understand how co-production and related concepts can be applied in quality improvement work
  • critically appraise methods of co-production and related concepts as applied at the micro-, meso-, and/or macro-system levels.

  • critically review and evaluate own achievements related to intended learning outcomes
  • reflect upon personal experiences and commitment to co-production in practice, improvement work and research.

- co-production: origins and contemporary conceptualisations
- co-design: origins and contemporary conceptualisations
- practical methods for co-production (in daily practice, improvement work and research)
- co-production at the micro-, meso-, and macro-system levels
- evaluating the impact of co-production and understanding mechanisms of success

Undervisningsformer

The course is web-based with discussion and seminars through the web-based platform.

Undervisningen bedrivs på engelska.

Förkunskapskrav

The applicant must hold the minimum of a bachelor's degree (i.e. the equivalent of 180 ECTS credits at an accredited university) within health sciences, behavioral science, social work, educational sciences or equivalent. Proof of English proficiency is required (eller motsvarande kunskaper).

Examination och betyg

Kursen bedöms med betygen A, B, C, D, E, FX eller F.

Examination will be based upon participation in seminars, written assignments and an individually written reflection assignment.

The course examiner is a senior university lecturer.

Attendance requirements
Mandatory attendance of course introduction and seminars using the web-based platform. Microphone headset to be used in seminars online.

The teaching is conducted in English, but Swedish students may write their exams in Swedish.
