After completing the course, students should be able, within the areas below, to:

- demonstrate broad knowledge and understanding of the development of different qualitative approaches according to scientific theory and methodology.
- explain when it is appropriate to use different qualitative approaches.

- independently and creatively identify and prepare research questions that are suitable for a qualitative approach.
- critically and with scientific accuracy analyse qualitative data to answer a research question
- independently identify an appropriate data collection method based on a specific qualitative approach

För tillträde till kursen krävs 240 hp varav 60 hp på avancerad nivå, inklusive examensarbete 15 hp (eller motsvarande kurskaper).
