Upon completion of the course, the student should have the ability to:

Kunskap och förståelse

• explain and discuss theoretical and methodological perspectives of participatory design and co-production in health innovation.

Färdighet och förmåga

• problematize and synthesize current knowledge about participatory design and co-production in relation to health innovation,
• apply participatory design and co-production in own area of research,
• independently examine and discuss some theoretical and methodological aspects of empirical studies with participatory designs and co-production.

Värderingsförmåga och förhållningssätt

• critically analyze and assess relevant theories, methods and perspectives in participatory design and co-production in health innovation,
• independently and critically reflect on and problematize the possibilities and limitations of participatory design and co-production in health innovations.

The teaching will be web based, including lectures (live-streamed or recorded).

Förkunskapskrav

To be enrolled in the course the student should have 240 credits, 60 of which should be at advanced level, including a thesis of 15 credits (or the equivalent).

Examination och betyg

Kursen bedöms med betygen Underkänd eller Godkänd.

The course exam is comprised of an individual written assignment, peer-review discussed at a seminar. The course examiner is an associate professor or professor.

Kursvärdering

Course evaluation is part of the course. This evaluation should offer guidance in the future development and planning of the course. Therefore, course evaluations should be documented and made available to the students. The course coordinator collates and comments on the evaluation before submitting it to the Board of Research Education at the Research School of health and welfare at School of health and welfare.
