From Gränna you can take the ferry to the historical island Visingsö where you can visit Sweden's straightest oak forest, take a tour by horse and carrige, and visit the ruins of Visingsborg. Castle Visingsborg was one of the most impressive 17th century castles and the cornerstone of the Brahe county. The foundation stone of the castle was laid in the 1560s by Count Per Brahe the Elder.
