Work environment
Our students' work environment is important for us at JU. As a student you are represented by your school's student safety representative that can help you with issues regarding your work environment and act as a member of your school's work environment committee.
Aside from the work environment committees at each school there is also a collaborative body at JU level called Arbetsmiljöforum (the Work Environment Forum). The Work Environment Forum follows up JU-wide issues relating to the work environment, equal treatment, gender equality, as well as safety and health for staff and students. JU is a member of the Swedish Universities network for Students work enviroment.
The Student Union's organisation for work enviroment
Students' work environment is one of the main fields of interest for Jönköping University's Student Union. They are organised through the student committee WORC (Work Enviroment Commiittee) consisting of the student safety representatives and the head student safety representatives that coordinate and lead the committee.
Student safety representatives take an active part in Jönköping University's systematical work enviroment managment such as safety rounds and is the voice of our students in these matters.
WORC creates an annual plan of operations that is decided at the Student Unions annual meeting. The student safety representatives are elected at the student sections biannual meetings.
