Step 1: Before applying
When you have decided to apply for an exchange semester abroad the next step is to find out where you can go. The most important part is to apply to a partner university that will fit your program. Before you begin your application process do spend some time finding the right places to apply to. It is well worth it so you know you are applying to the schools you want to study at. This will ensure greater success with your exchange studies.
Start to seek information about the partner universities you can apply to. You must ensure that the university offers courses that you can accredit in your study program. Consider also how much money you want to spend; flight ticket, visa, insurance costs.

- talk to former outgoing exchange students
- talk to incoming exchange students
- on the Student web
- the partner universities web pages
- JU library has a shelf dedicated to brochures from partner universites
