Organisational Change and Negotiation 5 credits

Course content

Organisations resist change by nature, yet business survival depends on your ability to guide transformation through complex human and political dynamics. Whether you face market disruption, technological shifts, or internal restructuring, the skills to orchestrate meaningful change while managing stakeholder interests have become essential leadership competencies. The most promising strategic initiatives fail not from poor analysis, but from inadequate attention to the human elements that determine implementation success. This program provides a comprehensive toolkit for leading organisational transformation, beginning with diagnostic frameworks for assessing change readiness and resistance patterns. The curriculum covers advanced negotiation techniques, coalition-building strategies, and methods for creating compelling urgency around change initiatives. You examine power dynamics within organisations, learn to identify and address political obstacles, and master the art of issue selling to secure stakeholder buy-in. The program also addresses vision development and communication strategies that align diverse groups around common objectives. Upon completion, you will confidently design and execute change initiatives that account for both strategic and human considerations. You will negotiate effectively across organisational levels, build influential coalitions, and transform resistance into productive engagement. Your enhanced ability to read organisational politics and craft persuasive narratives will enable you to secure resources and support for complex transformations. Most importantly, you will possess the leadership presence to guide others through uncertainty while maintaining momentum toward your vision.
